Yoga and Travelling are perfect companions for finding Inner Peace

Yoga is a key to transformation.

It aligns your body, opens your heart and ruffles your spirit.

Travelling is where and when you can best experience these transformations.

Only when you are lifted out of your habitual comfort zone, will you really be gifted the opportunity to embody the inner changes – and live them outwardly.


Does Yoga Give You a Better Butt?

I started on my yoga journey because I thought I would get a better butt.

It may be true for some (getting a better butt, that is), but more importantly – yoga will eventually open you to the wisdom to just accept your butt.

It is that simple.


Health and Healing Benefits

There are a myriad of health and healing benefits from a regular and committed yoga practice.  But today I want to focus on one only – how it opens up the Heart.

Looking around at the world today, is like witnessing a horror fest.  Still, there is so much beauty all around us.

And this is where travelling is important.


Travelling is a Heart Opener

Travelling is like the Backbend asana of Life.

I have often re-assessed my habitual judgments and critisisms when walking through villages and towns in India or Africa.

What always struck me were the smiling faces, children barefoot but playing, and the simplicity of just being in the moment – no matter how poor or horrendous we judge the circumstances to be.

Another common thread I have experienced between yoga and travelling, I found in a beautiful quote by the Dalai Lama:

“This is my simple religion.  There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy.  Our own brain, our own Heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.

  • May we all be kind today.
  • First with ourselves.
  • And then, so to others.
